ENGLISH TO GERMAN NEWSLETTER TRANSLATION
OCT 22, 2013
Achieving the right tone in multiple languages is particularly important in marketing materials and promotional literature such as newsletters. This is the reason that context-specific translation, which uses human translation rather than machine-generated translation, is a key part of the service that Tomedes offers.
A regular client recently asked us to translate his company newsletter from English into no less than six other languages. As we engage a network of professional translators in countries across the globe, this posed no problem for Tomedes.
Initially, we examined the content of the newsletter in English. It was focused on the engineering sector, with many technical terms that would need to be carefully conveyed in the six target languages.
Our account manager took up the project and contacted our translators with relevant backgrounds in each of the six countries. They got to work almost simultaneously, using a combination of their technical linguistic skills with an awareness of the client’s approach to customer engagement (in order to preserve the tone of previous materials).
Within just three days we had presented the client with his company newsletter in German, Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish and Chinese. He was impressed with both the quality of the translation and the speed with which Tomedes had undertaken the work. These are the reasons that he returns to us every time he has a new document to work on – he knows that Tomedes’ combined focus on quality, deadlines and competitive pricing makes us one of the leading translation services on the market.
