The Translation Autonomy User Society (TAUS) is an independent industry organization that serves as one of the language and translation industry's established resource centers. TAUS hosts numerous language and translation industry events.
The TAUS Tokyo Summit will feature the latest translation technologies. The event couldn’t be more relevant with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics coming soon as athletes and attendees all around the world will be arriving in Japan. The summit, in the organizer’s own words, will turn Tokyo into a ‘translation technology hotspot’ where attendees will be shown the latest innovative technologies from translation technology providers.
The event is a must-attend opportunity for language professionals, linguists, language service providers, and clients of translation and localization services, especially for those specializing or interested in Japanese translations. The organizers intended to draw in a crowd of no more than 80 attendees so that attendees can have an intimate conference experience.
The one-day event will mostly consist of presentations but there will also be an exhibit where translation technology providers can showcase their most innovative products and language solutions. Besides that, the intimate environment made possible by the small number of attendees will provide meaningful and productive networking opportunities. Buyers, clients, language professionals, and academics can all share their ideas and insights among one another and foster new professional relationships.
Before the Tokyo Summit, there will be a transcreation workshop to be held on April 14, 2020. Click here for more information as the workshop will be a separate event with a separate registration process. We suggest also registering for the transcreation workshop to make the most out of your time in Tokyo.
The conference will be held at Oracle Aoyama Center located in Tokyo. During your time in Tokyo, look forward to experiencing the very best of Japanese culture, cuisine, and Tokyo’s bustling metropolitan lifestyle.
