Mark September 12-14, 2022 in your calendars. It’s the date set for The 2022 Pragmatics and Language Learning Conference (PLL 2022). The entire conference is set to be online. PLL 2022 is for scholars and educators who will discuss both old and new approaches to teaching. It is also for those interested in learning pragmatics and language learning.
What Can You Expect?
“Teaching and Learning Interactional Pragmatics in a Digital World” is the main theme for PLL 2022. Topics about pragmatics, discourse, interaction, sociolinguistics, and other related subjects are also welcome. Participants will also discuss topics connected to education and the learning of foreign languages.
The entire conference will be online. Plenary talks will ball be live. The organizers scheduled the talks to allow the maximum number of participants to join. The other presentations will be 20-minute recordings. At the end of those recorded presentations, there will be live interactions between the presenters with the participants at the end. There will also be Zoom break-out rooms for interactions among the participants.
The conference aims to will bring PLL to new heights. By its end, there should be new networks generated by the conversations that will be created.
The submission deadline has passed and the organizers are no longer accepting abstracts. On April 30th, 2022 the notifications of acceptance will be sent out. The early-bird registration period is from April to July 20th, 2022. The video uploading to the conference site will be on July 15th, 2022.
