Intended Audience

The 1st International Conference on Multilingual Digital Terminology Today. Design, Representation Formats, and Management Systems will be taking place in Padova, Italy from June 16, 2022, to June 17, 2022. The conference is for those who are developing digital terminologies. Those who work in the creation of the design and development of digital products are also welcome to join.

What Can You Expect?

The conference aims to bring together specialists from various fields. These include terminology, terminography, NLP, and others. These practices deal with the development of digital technology and at times they end up creating terms and names for what they create.

The conference has four main research topics:

• The analysis of the information needs of the future user of the resource;
• The assessment of structural design approaches for terminological data collections;
• The study of terminological metadata and data representation formats;
• The methods of validating the ergonomics of a resource.

The first topic will be discussing how the needs of the users will drive the development of the terminologies. The second topic will look into the approaches for structural design. The other topics will be relevant to the development of terminologies. The working languages for the conference are English and French.
