We recently completed a very large project for a public company traded on NASDAQ. The company provides a web service that allows users to sign up and create professional websites in a matter of minutes.
This sort of service is especially popular with people who don’t know how to code in HTML and maintain the back-end of a website, as all the technicalities of maintaining a site is done automatically via the company’s web-based software. Users can simply drag and drop different elements of a website to build the sort of site that they require, and there are hundreds of pre-made templates to chose from, should users feel like they need some inspiration. Thanks to the ease of the company’s site-building software, it remains a popular chose for bloggers and entrepreneurs.
The company hired us to translate their entire platform (consisting of more than 300,000 words) into Norwegian, Danish and Swedish. Needless to say, this was a considerable undertaking. But our translation company is well-equipped to deal with such requests: our project manager was able to coordinate different teams of professional human translators for each language, and the client had their own localization manager who was able to contact our project manager or any of the individual translation teams directly. This structure ensured that we were able to complete all three translations within a relatively short amount of time.
The client was very happy with the resulting Norwegian, Danish and Swedish translations of their web platform, and we hope to work with them again in the future!
