Tomedes is seeking a talented freelance Hebrew–Sinhala Translator to join our expanding global network of language professionals. This is a fully remote role focused on translating content between Hebrew and Sinhala for a diverse range of international clients. You will work on a project basis, delivering accurate, culturally nuanced translations across multiple content types and industries.

Job Description:

• Translate documents, materials, and content between Hebrew and Sinhala with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
• Preserve the meaning, tone, and intent of source texts throughout all translations
• Proofread and edit translated content for fluency, consistency, and grammatical correctness
• Adapt language and terminology to suit specific target audiences and industries
• Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
• Handle a variety of content including legal, business, technical, medical, and general documents

Requirements:

• Native or near-native fluency in both Sinhala and Hebrew
• Minimum 1–3 years of professional translation experience
• Strong written communication skills in both languages
• Experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ, or equivalent) is an advantage
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet tight deadlines
• Specialization in legal, technical, or business translation is a plus
