We are seeking a highly skilled freelance simultaneous interpreter fluent in Maltese, German, and/or Spanish for potential projects across various domains. This role involves delivering real-time interpretation with accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity in professional settings.

Job Description:

• Provide simultaneous interpretation between:

• Maltese ↔ German

• Maltese ↔ Spanish

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real-time during meetings, conferences, or virtual events

• Ensure consistency, clarity, and correct use of industry-specific terminology

• Maintain the speaker’s tone, intent, and context during interpretation

• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and technical teams to ensure smooth communication

• Adapt quickly to different topics, industries, and speaking styles

• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Requirements:

• Native or near-native fluency in Maltese and German and/or Spanish

• Proven experience in simultaneous interpreting (conference or professional setting preferred)

• Strong listening, multitasking, and cognitive processing skills

• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver accurate real-time interpretation

• Familiarity with remote interpreting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Interprefy)

• Availability for flexible, project-based assignments
