Indonesian to English newsletter translation
MAY 18, 2016
A regular client asked Tomedes to undertake a new translation for him last week. The client’s company works across multiple countries and uses a range of communication methods to ensure that all employees, no matter where they are based, feel interconnected and part of the overall business.
One of the communication tools that he uses for this is a newsletter, packed with details of company events, the latest product news and also local happenings. It was this that the client was looking to have translated from Indonesian to English.
Tomedes was happy to help. We have a network of leading Indonesian to English translators and so were confident we would have a top translator on hand to start work straight away. This was precisely the case and one of our Jakarta-based translators was delighted to get to work on the newsletter immediately.
The translator worked swiftly and efficiently through the translation, including querying a few local abbreviations with the client (which turned out to be the names of local businesses and sports teams).
In addition to the translation, we were pleased to provide desktop publishing services at the client’s request. This meant that our in-house team could type set the English version of the newsletter so that it had the same corporate look and feel as the original Indonesian version.
The client was delighted with the professional appearance of the final document, as well as with the quality of the translation (he spoke enough English to appreciate what a perfect translation it was).
