I am a freelance Italian to English translator looking to join your team. I have been translating documents from Italian to English for the last 6 years, during which I have translated CVs, university theses and technical manuals, many of which coming from the building/engineering sector including documents for ENEL. Many of which are available upon request. Through the agency translated.net I have also gained experience of google ad words, adapting my skills to marketing. I also have a good working relationship with Textmaster, with whom I focus on the cosmetics and tourism sector. Since 2009 I have lived and worked in Italy, learning and studying Italian. Spending time throughout Italy living with Italian families I have learnt how real Italian is used from region to region. Currently I teach English in a private language school in the centre of Sicily alongside translating documents locally (for local businesses and private individuals) or internationally (through the internet and translation agencies). In 2014 I sat the Universita per Stranieri di Perugias CELI TRE exam B2 level on the European common framework in order to have a written Italian qualification. I am computer literate with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft office, and I generally use Trados 2017 or but also Matecat when requested. Having graduated from Lancaster University with a BA in Economics I am perfect for the translating financial and business documents. I also spent time working in London for a sustainability consultancy writing sustainable analysis reports for social housing companies with recommendations of how to improve themselves. This gave me a great deal of experience on environmental issues, a growing sector in todays economy. I have a personality that always seeks knowledge and experience, and when I translate I enjoy reading about the subject. I currently charge €0.05 per word, however this rate does depend on repetitions and the deadline. I am currently available to translate approximately 4000 words per day.
