What is the International Conference on Translation?

The 18th International Conference on Translation is to promote the role of translation for global prosperity and bring forth the leading experts, academic scholars, and researchers in translation. The conference will be showcasing innovations and the latest trends regarding translation and linguistics. This event will introduce methods, techniques, challenges, and practical applications regarding the topics mentioned earlier.

This three-day conference will take place in Shah Alam, Malaysia. All the research papers that will be presented are from different institutions and publications from around the world. This will be a historic event because due to the protocols brought by the pandemic, this conference will take place online to cater to a wider audience.

What Can Attendees Expect?  

The conference will discuss World Languages Education, Translation’s role in Globalization and e-Commerce, Translation of Religious Materials, Issues of Translation in Gender, Ethics, Politics, and Economics. Research speakers will be discussing translation and linguistic frameworks, models, theories, concepts, and observations regarding the topics mentioned above. 

The event will be helpful for those who are interested in the field of linguistics and translation. Practitioners, academic researchers, and scholars are more than welcomed to participate as this conference will present challenges and issues, and possible solutions. This program will be helpful for academic institutions, organizations, and companies in the field, as mentioned earlier.

Venue Information and Date

This three-day conference will be a historic event because, as per the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will take place through a digital program. Akademi Pengajian Bahasa, Universiti Teknologi MARA will be the host for this e-conference. This institution will also be working with the Malaysian Translators Association, Dewan The Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books, and Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP). 

The 18th International Conference on Translation will be held from August 24 - 26, 2021.
