Looking back and looking forward

The conference aims to celebrate 100 years of conference interpreting history by providing its attendees resources and an environment to enrich their knowledge in the interpretreting profession.  

The conference will revolve around three themes; practice, research and training. Over 2 days, attendees will be introduced to presentations and panel discussions concerning past landmark achievements in the past, and also on the challenges and future developments in the interpreting field. 

The organizers of this event are proud to present three keynote speakers who are world-renowned industry experts in the interpreting field;

- Jesus Baigorri Jalon, Prof. Dr.
Former Associate Professor of Interpreting at the University of Salamanca in theTranslation and Interpreting Department.

- Alexis Hervais Adelman, Prof. Dr.
University of Zurich. Head of the Neurolinguistics Division in the Department of Psychology.

- Jacolyn Harmer, Prof.
Professor of conference interpretation at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) in California

The event is open to everyone involved in the interpreting field from practicing interpreters, researchers focusing in interpreting, to trainers of conference interpreters.
