English to Spanish medical translation
MAY 4, 2016
Medical translators have to be extremely committed to their craft in order to ensure that they stay up to date with the latest linguistic developments and requirements. Understanding medical terms in a single language can be tricky, but medical translators have to master those terms in two languages in order to provide the perfect translation. Attending medical translation conferences and keeping their skills up to date through online learning are essential.
At Tomedes we are lucky to have access to a broad talent pool of dedicated medical translators around the world. Most recently, one of our expert English to Spanish medical translators was able to help a new client translate a range of patient leaflets.
The client’s medical practice had expanded and was in a position to reach out to new customers. Many of those in the area were Spanish-speakers and the medical staff were able to treat them in Spanish. But the centre’s leaflets were only available in English, meaning that their Spanish clients did not have any literature to take away with them.
Tomedes was pleased to be able to help rectify the situation. Our Spanish medical translator got to work on the leaflets in question. She worked in partnership with our desktop publishing team, so that the Spanish versions of the leaflets mirrored the English ones in terms of style and layout.
The client was delighted with the result – a professional batch of leaflets in flawless Spanish that he could use to provide those treated by his team with a fuller service.
Tomedes is helping business clients around the world to operate as they wish, without language being a barrier.
