HEBREW TO ENGLISH MEDICAL DOCUMENT TRANSLATION
DEC 4, 2013
A new client approached us recently as he needed a medical document translated from Hebrew into English. As well as the translation, the client asked for comprehensive proofreading, to ensure that the text flowed as well in the translated English document as it did in the original Hebrew version. At Tomedes this is part of the service that we provide routinely to our clients – all of our translated documents are reviewed prior to being presented to the client, to ensure that they are perfect before being handed over.
With nearly 1,000 words in the document and some highly complex medical terminology, we set about scouring our bank of translators for the perfect person to undertake the work. We have built up a network of highly skilled professional translators from around the world, with a diverse range of backgrounds. This is part of makes Tomedes’ services so unique – our translators bring more than just linguistic skills to their work.
We found just the person for the job – a translator based in El’ad in Israel, who had trained as a nurse before deciding that the medical profession was not for him. We set him to work straight away and two days later the translated document was back with the client, having been thoroughly proofread by another member of our team.
The client was thrilled to have received such an efficient and high quality service and has already presented us with a further document to translate. As he regularly needs such documents translated, we look forward to enjoying a long-term translating relationship with him over the years ahead.
