Tomedes is seeking a professional Azerbaijani ↔ Hebrew Interpreter based in Israel to join our global network of language professionals. This is a freelance, remote/on-site assignment-based role supporting clients across various industries. You will provide accurate, culturally appropriate interpretation services between Azerbaijani and Hebrew in a variety of settings, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Job Description

• Provide consecutive, simultaneous, or over-the-phone/video remote interpretation between Azerbaijani and Hebrew.
• Facilitate accurate communication while preserving the meaning, tone, and intent of each speaker.
• Interpret for meetings, business discussions, legal consultations, medical appointments, technical sessions, and other professional engagements.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting ethics at all times.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth scheduling and successful assignment completion.
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing terminology and subject matter when necessary.

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in both Azerbaijani and Hebrew.
• Must be based in Israel.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of professional interpreting experience.
• Experience in consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation.
• Excellent listening, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain impartial, professional, and confidential during all assignments.
• Experience in legal, medical, business, or technical interpretation is an advantage.
• Availability for remote and, when required, on-site assignments within Israel.
