Tomedes is seeking an experienced Freelance English–Hakka Chin Translator to join our global network of language professionals. This is a fully remote role involving the translation of diverse content between English and Hakka Chin for international clients across a wide range of industries. You will work on a project basis, delivering accurate, culturally appropriate translations that meet the highest quality standards.

Job Description

• Translate documents, websites, marketing materials, and other content between English and Hakka Chin with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Preserve the meaning, tone, and intent of source texts across all translation projects.
• Proofread and edit translated content for fluency, consistency, grammar, and terminology.
• Adapt translations to suit the target audience while maintaining linguistic and cultural accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and exceptional quality.
• Translate a variety of content, including legal, business, technical, medical, marketing, educational, and general documents.

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Hakka Chin.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of professional translation experience.
• Excellent written communication skills in both languages.
• Experience with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation projects simultaneously.
• Specialization in legal, medical, technical, or business translation is a plus.
