Tomedes is seeking an experienced Freelance English–Rhaeto-Romance Translator to join our global network of language professionals. This is a fully remote, project-based role involving the translation of diverse content between English and Rhaeto-Romance for international clients across a wide range of industries. You will deliver accurate, culturally appropriate translations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Job Description

• Translate documents, websites, marketing materials, and other content between English and Rhaeto-Romance with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
• Preserve the meaning, tone, and intent of source texts throughout every project
• Proofread and edit translated content for grammar, consistency, and readability
• Adapt terminology, style, and register to suit different audiences and industries
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results
• Handle various content types, including legal, business, technical, medical, marketing, and general documents

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Rhaeto-Romance
• Minimum of 1–3 years of professional translation experience
• Excellent written communication skills in both languages
• Experience using CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ, or similar) is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Subject-matter expertise in legal, medical, technical, or marketing translation is a plus
