Oromo language is alternatively known as Oromiffa, Afaan Oromoo, Afan Arsi, and Afan Boran. Certain older publications also refer Oromo as Galla, but this term is not favored by the Oromo people and is not used. The Oromo language is a member of Afro-Asiatic languages family.
