Interlingua is the second or third most popularly used international auxiliary language of the world. • Only grammatical features that are present in all the control languages are taken into account the rest are eliminated. This has contributed toward simplification of the grammar making it extremely easy to learn especially by speakers whose native languages have been used as sources for developing the grammars and vocabulary of Interlingua.

• It also makes Interlingua readily comprehensible to several hundred millions Romance speakers. Following on the same line, learning Interlingua serves as an excellent one point of introduction to many natural languages.
  

• Many high schools and universities across the globe teach Interlingua as a subject. A number of such institutions have introduced this language as an effective and easy way of teaching interlinguistics, introducing international vocabulary to students, and teaching other languages in a relatively shorter period of time.
  

• The orthography of Interlingua is largely phonemic. Most of the consonants are pronounced the way they are in English. The vowels on the other hand follow Spanish sounds.
